Cichlids with a Bullhead??

I kept a bullhead with a trio of sunfish years ago. Bullhead actually make great pets once they get use to people

I’ve had mixed experiences with bullheads and other fish. Earl didn’t tolerate any other fish in there with him. I had to put a 6”+ bluegill in with him and for a few weeks and he let it recover, from getting beat up by another bluegill, then one day I came home and Earl had eaten it’s eues out lol. Currently I have a 6-7” yellow bullhead in with some sunnies and there aren’t any problems.

I keep mine with a yellow Cichlid about half his size and the Cichlid chases him around Lol

That’s the southern variant of brown bullheads they all look like that here
