Converting from fresh to reef tank!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would get two for both ends of the tank. Just make sure they have decent gph flow rates, more flow the better. You dont want any dead spots in your tank.

ok all salt was added around 1 this morning how long before it completely dissolves or should it have already.....

Is there a powerhead to mix it?

Thats why i was sayin mix it in buckets first. If you just added it straight to your tank and dont have powerheads, it could a take days to dissolve.

sorry guys been busy all day but i have two powerheads in the tank plus fx5 running...and the output from the sump all blowing strong!! picked up some base and live rock today...

also a friend is giving me some live rock she had from a tank around 2 months ago...been dry ever since...is it ok to go in the tank after a good rinse?

*lesson learned* filter input belongs in the tank not the sump!!!!! flooded my tank for a brief moment not fun at all!! on carpet
