Converting from fresh to reef tank!!!

my system as of right now.....
tank 110g
sump 29g
filter fx5-biomax rings only with sponges
2 power heads..getting one more

should i change any of these...in example like the media in the fx5
im getting a skimmer later its goin in the sump....
 
looks good to me, you just cant let that fx go too long without cleaning. Canisters can be nitrate factories. whats your plan on stock?

just moved my fx5 into the sump as far as fish i dont know as im totally new to salt i just know i want more of a reef style tank nothing that gets to big... ill probably be one of those people that say ooh thats ones pretty and try a couple...

and is there a way to stop that darn gurgling that the overflow box is doing cause its annoying:nilly:

I think they make dampeners or you can make one on your own for your overflow, wouldnt know where to start. I dont have a sump. My tanks fowlr so im not much on corals either. There is plenty of people on here though that can tell u more about corals.

ok just yea i love the whole peaceful look of the reef and how something seems to be goin on everywhere u look in the tank...
