DOPE 'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oil of cloves does a good job...

so,,,, first you drug them then you cut them up ,, does that make it better then???

sorry i am disgusted that someone could even think of altering a happy pet by blade just for a trophy ,,

Cutting fins is quite often actually. Alot of show fish with fanned out tails and fins actually have their fins and tails slit many times in order to make it look fanned out. Cutting the fin does not hurt the fish and it will grow back. you dont necessarily have to put your fish to sleep to do it, but I would advise it as it might stress them out a bit.

Ooh! Look who's back to give advise on arowana! Imagine a flopping arowana. Most likely you'll cut your fingers, insteads of its fins

It doesn't harm them... But the euthanasia page suggests that overusing clove oil can cause issues in fish.

No, not overdosing, overusing.
Like using it a lot for surgeries or whatever you'd want to make you fish sleep for...

But I suppose ultimately it will result in death...
