they are drift wood catfish so i wouldnt take it out.. as long as the rays are barbless i can see that setup working out! wouldnt wanna wake up to knife like wound on your Goonch! Absolutely gorgeous btw, i hope to have a catfish pond one day with tiger shovelnose, red tail cats and these guys

I think this Daddy is going to have to come out of the video closet after 23yrs of fishkeeping because I think this goonch catfish is going to have me posting my first ever video of a fish.
A+ quality and no dissapointment on my part so I hope I don't dissapoint the goonch and keep him alive for many years.Such a quality fish! I will one day have Yarrelli, but for now my bagarius will have to do
It has just become my favorite cat of all time after only a couple days and I have owned many catfish over the last 23yrs.
Let's discuss tankmates...What are the experiences with bottom dwellers? I was thinking of trying my big watermelon pleco and maybe the 14" vulture catfish. The only problem I am going to run into is all my fish are expensive if he decides to snack on them. List of possible tankmates that I already have that may be big enough are:Rays,Vittatus tigerfish,watermelon pleco,vulture catfish,pbass,asian aros,black aros,indo dat,thin bar and wide bar silver dollars. The rest of my fish are too small and would definitley be a snack.
