Ditch fishing

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They are ditches and everywhere in the Tri County Area. Water area is low for alot but a year ago I would drop a hook with just a little bit of earth worm and pull out Tilapia, Salvini, Mayan, Bream etc..

Today I went to a canal which in theory has very big catfish but caught nothing lol .Only saw large Peacockbass but wanted to catch a catfish ...
If you are ever in the Orlando area, look me up. I have a fishing hole that produces cats in the 18" range fairly consistantly.

Next time I'm in Miami, I'll make it a point to bring a pole. :grinyes:

Hey Louie

Where in Miami are you seeing these jags and red devils? Like what canal system or street? I have been down there several times to fish for exotics and have only caught one jag so far and have yet to see a red devil/midas.

Thank you

Couple weeks ago few guys had a 5 gallon bucket full of oscars-jags mostly miyans and few under size bass . They eat them,

Though Oscars, etc arent natives I do hate seeing those large buckets full of them .

The under size bass were ilegal but illegal fishing ,poaching, etc is the norm in Miami . Amazed any PB at all .
