Does this tank have to many fish for this filter.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello; One other thing came to mind. The test vials are small so any contamination can skew results. Get some distilled water (DW) or DI water and use it to clean the vials. You can also let the vials sit full of DW for a while. Picked this up from duanes duanes .

You can also use DW as a standard. Run the tests on the DW and the results should be neutral or zero for most anything.

I texted my water straight out of the faucet and there was 0 ammonia

Would I be over feeding of my fish eat the portion in 20 seconds and I feed 4 times a day
Hard to say without actually seeing your fish feed.
Try this: fast them for a week, and in that time do 50% ever other day. See if there's any ammonia level at the end of the seven days.

Forgot to add, do a thorough filter cleaning and substrate vacuuming.
