dovii and 5 spot jewels??

pleco is about the only thing that MIGHT work
 
My pleco and dovii have been together for about 6 months. They absolutely hate each other but no one is dead or tore up so I guess it's working out.

In my opinion the picture you posted of those amazing 5 Star Generals is photo shopped. I raised these for a number a years and never saw a strain with that kind of color. It is possible someone line bred some to get that color, but not likely. Sounds like you are on a different path now anyways.
 
really, thats a shame, if you google the latin name they are near the top on images... some other red ones on there.., where none of yours red? i think i am going a differnt way now, thanks for the info tho pal.
 
+1 I've never seen any 5 Stars that red. BUT 5 stars are like the west african Neet, and if you get like 12 or so maybe it works in a 300g. They are fast, vicious and can hold their own. But a small ones won't fair well, big ones are costly, and if you just get a few they will get picked off, or just beat each other up. I managed to get a pair of neets to co-exist with my beast of a Trimac. So anything is possible, unlikely, but possible.
