Favorite LFS "CUSTOMER" STORIES ...

I had a customer come in the other day with algae bloom problems, so first thing I ask her is how often she changes the water. She said she only changes it twice a year; she takes all the fish out, completely cleans the gravel and the filter media. Turns out she'd been doing this for seven years! I just stared at her like :nilly: It was just something little like a 30 gallon with a couple angels and some tetras and whatnot, and those poor fish had been living in those conditions for all those years. She didn't want to listen to me when I said she should be doing it once a week, 'cause she's "been doing it like this for years with no problems..." ....except for all the algae bloom problems...:screwy:

This was a review on a plastic cave item on petsmart's website....

""Was
not expecting this to float in the water. I was able to make it stay on
the bottom of the tank by turning it upside down and getting it full of
water before placing it at the bottom of the tank."

- LOL

Wow. Just.. Wow. You have to wonder how some people even figure out how to start their car and actually drive to the pet store.. Wow. :screwy:

You know that every time you see a warning label on a product, it's because someone actually did it and a company was probably sued for it. Something to think about next time you read a product label...

We'll probably see one on plastic caves now saying to submerge upside down and allow them to fill with water first.

When asked if I had a big enough tank to house the oscar I wanted to purchase, I replied 200 gallon. The guy preparing to bag and tag the fish looked at me and said, "How big is that?"
