Again posting something to make it look one sided. Cause we know nothing like this happens anywhere else around the globe, right? :duh: Ever hear of Fort hood, seems to me just about everyone there was armed and very well trained, yet same sad result.

And last time I checked Fort Hood was a Military Base. There are plenty of them around the world...even in countries where the civilians can't have guns. You're comparing apples to oranges. The story in the link didn't happen on a military base...it happened to be an everyday scenario that many of us experience. ;)

I'm sorry that some of you live such sheltered lives and that guns are just oh so scary. And the people that have them are not "fearing for their lives". You carry a spare tire in your car not because you're afraid/scared of a flat tire. You carry it because you want to be prepared if you come across one.

I don't think it really matters what anyone posts. If you don't like guns then nothing is going to change that fact. To each their own.

Don't put words in my mouth and try to comprehend what I am saying.

You can take any numbers you want and twist them to say just about anything you want. This is my point so stop being a fool.

Just as you have in the title of this thread. By stating that "more guns = less crime" which is a crock of sh.... I fail to see why gun enthusiast think they need to promote this BS anyway are you really that paranoid as to someone taking your guns away?

But the point is you ARE NOT making a point! You have no proof to refute anything!:ROFL::ROFL:

It is oh so easy to say this or that is a crock or BS without any proof!

You would make a great lawyer! NOT!!
"....but, your honor, I call BS, isn't that good enough to declare my client not guilty?":ROFL::ROFL:

You would make a good History teacher! NOT! As you don't know the past history of the U.S., let alone what has happened in other countries when the citizens guns are taken away! Check it out!

"I fail to see......" Oh so true!! :D Nailed it!!

Freedom is not free!! Without people standing up to people who would love to kill the 2nd Amendment it will be watered down and our right to bear arms taken away. It is not about paranoia, but about protecting the freedoms one already has!

There are many statistics and articles that document areas that have banned guns and have then experienced noticeably higher crime rates (washington dc for one). My opinion is that education on firearms and firearm safety should be more widespread, or if there was a way to remove every last gun/weapon do that (but thats never going to happen).

Yes it is different but the same, a mass killing. You wanted and others want to cite an example of where people can't defend themselves or "if just one person had a gun" would have prevented the massacre. Well I presented you with an example of where people could defend themselves with guns, end result same with alot of death. More guns help there?

IMO guns have very little to do with the crime rate. Just getting tired of all the mis information that is posted regarding the subject at hand. Knownothing seems to want to turn my argument into something it is not. So I'll state my view again, you can post all the numbers you want, but they are incomplete. This leads to an incorrect representation of the facts, generally this is what you will get from special interest groups, something I am not a part of.

Just a post for thought. Maryland makes it next to impossible to get a conceled carry permit. Where i work, there was a car accident. When a person pulled over(a good samaritan) to help, a person got out of wrecked car, pulled a knife and stole the good samaritan's car. if she was carryin a firearm there is at least a chance that she wouldnt be out a car.

But im sure ull refute that, by sayin thats BS

Like said, that was on a base. You'd be surprised how many people don't carry guns there or are even allowed to. Hell out troops that patrol the airports for security reasons aren't even allowed to have loaded magazines in their rifles. :screwy:

So let me get this straight.....information that comes from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, you know that little organization where they study nothing but crime all day is irrelevant to you? Who do you want the information to come from? CNN? Bill Maher? The Daily Show? Oprah Winfrey?

Oprah!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
i get all my info from her. if she said guns are bad it must be.

What Bderick67 is saying is that in this case, the threads title and the NRA link posted does not necessarily equal what it claims with the data given. The data shows a drop in crime rates, nothing more. Like others said before, MFK membership was up in 2009 so one could say FBI data shows an increase in MFK membership = less crime.

OK, I'll make it easy for you guys so you don't have to see the dreaded word "NRA". In the link that was provided by Knowdafish, if you click on the highlighted word "statistics" this is what comes up. I know they're just statistics but oh well.

http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/prelimsem2009/table_1.html

Thats awsome, who would of ever thought that the increase in guns sales could drop the crime of arsen over 10%

Let's here it for guns :clap
