it was flounder fillet.

Note post #34 @RD mentions thiamine not really an issue if using vitamins, also in that thread I think there was mention that its not an issue too if feeding pellets in their diet
Thank you for linking that thread, it confirms what I thought.

My question then comes back to feeding freshwater species versus marine species. Are there any real issues with feeding a marine species? Salt levels etc.

Did they take it well?
they ate a little the first few days. After one week they didn’t have a problem eating it. The sodium content is higher since it’s a marine fish. However it’s very low in fat compared to tilapia.
