Today was my first trip on my boat.I also went to my favorite spot today.I caught my first fish within 15 minutes,so i thought it was going to be a very good day but it wasnt. I went a few hours before i even got another bite.So i packed it up and went to are local d&R canel were it was also a slow day according some guys that were out there fishing.I was only able to get a small chain pickeral on a perch colored rat-L-trap.

Most people would think by us having a pretty warm day that fishing would of been better. I fished a spot in the morning for a little while, was able to hook a nice pickeral. It looked to be about 20 inches but since i didnt land it cant i be certain . I had a nice bass folllow the rat-l-trap up to the bank but that was it, i was only out there for like 30 minutes. I left there and went to one of my favorite spots and dropped the boat in. Within 15 minutes i got a bite but missed it, so i throw back in the same direction bam fish on. Soon as the fight began i said to my shipmate that this is a big fish and if its a bass its a trophy, after getting it to surface after what seemed to be forever(2 minutes) i clearly could see that the rat-l-trap had snagged a nice size carp. It was a good 50ft fight.
I didnt get another bite after the catch . So i packed it up for the day, i thought that anyway but i still had the itch. On the way droping my friend off i made a quick pit stop at this little pond. I Seen alot a blue gilll acton but i didnt get anything.
Well that concludes my update. If im right tomorrow should be a better day, cuz tonights low will be 46 so the water should hold a pretty good temp through the night. It supposed to rain but if its not to hard im going to go out and test my theory.

Today its only 53 outside but it isnt raining yet so im about and go out and see if i an get anything.

nice catch! Too bad in Ontario Bass season opens up at the end of June...
Just curious, what lure/bait do you use for bass? I had some good results with spinners last summer. I think I am going to try texas or carolina rigs this year.

I must commend you, you are a hell of a fisherman. Very dedicated and you actually catch some nice fish too. Especially considering Bass grow a lot slower up north than they do down south. I need to get my poles out and do some work.

So i went out today in the rain to test my theory on the water holding a decent temp. I would say i was rite cuz the water came in at 48.6 and last nights low was 47 degrees. I got to the first lake at 1 o'clock and the first fish was caught within 15 minutes. I stayed out there until 3:45. The funny thing is i landed 6 fish in the rain but only caught one once the rain had stopped. So i went home to get something to eat and then i realizeed that it was live food day for my babies. So my wife and i left out to go get some feeders but as i got in the car i got the itch to do some more fishing. I stoped at another body of water for 30 minutes but didnt get a bite or nothing, left there and stopped at annother spot for a 10 minute quicky and yet again nothing was popping so i gave up for today.
All in all it was a desent day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tried a fairly new body of water today. I only knew about it for 3 weeks now and had only fished it once from the shore. I only got one bite and cloudnt close the deal, but i seen some people on a boat catching some yellow perch and some small chain pickeral the first time i was out there. So mixed with the good feeling i got from the lake and the fact i seen some action on the lake, i decided to put drop my boat on it today.
Within the first 20 minutes i had a fish on but couldn''t close the deal. Well here is my excuse why not. I'm playing captain today and i had just threw up under this small dock. For some reason i decided to move the boat and just troll that cast as i was heading towards the middle of the lake. As we were moving i got on my (kat williams s**t) and made a joke on my brother, well as i was laughing and not paying attention BAM-took me totally by surprise and i tried to do a hook set with one hand while the boat was still moving. As i reached for the trolling motor handle the fish is fighting hard specially with the boat still moving in the opposite direction. Soon as i got both hands on the pole the fished came rite to the top of the water and spit the bait out. It's just a "fish story" now but i seen the fish when he came up and no lie the bass was NO smaller then 4 pounds.
I wasn't mad for long cause i caught 2 bass and 4 pickeral's(big ones too) after that. My brother was able to get a big pickeral also.

ALL IN ALL-ANOTHER GOOD DAY OF FISHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
