Thanks for the clarification

I also border lake Michigan and fish skamania usually about the secound week in July there are enough fish in the streams to make a trip worth going. Fun to catch they love to go airbourne on light line in a stream full of snags its a blast. If you can land 50% of your hook ups your doing good.

Also the otherday I caught the coolist smallie I have ever seen.

I put 3 in a spare 125 I know I'll have to eat them or let them go but its neat for the time being.

Hey Nitro come south on the Dan Ryan till you get to the secound exit in IND. goto the Cabelas in Hammond right of the exit south. They have several walleyes and some are getting trophey size.

Yeah I've already mastered stream fishing for them. I used to have the best spot and there was only about 10-15 guys that frequently went to this spot. But through time people have told everybody else, now we got flyfisherman and snaggers and all kinds of people down there. So I've been expanding my fishing for skamania and trying to get a good start at the piers.

I guess skamania are only considered a strain of steelhead and not a sub species (at least not yet). There is some taxinomic differences. They definatly have a different attitude then a normal steelhead. A normal steelhead will jump 1-5 times these have been known to jump up to like 10+ times in a fight. They also prey on some what different things ex: skamania are heavy crayfish eaters.

You're right multi be careful giveing spots on a stream. They get crouded easily. I have spots on private land that even homeland security couldn't make me tell.

AIR TEMP-74/57

WATER TEMP-??

SPOTS FISHED-1

TIME FISHED-1.25 HRS

FISH LANDED-5

Today after doing some shopping i was bored, so wat else "GO FISHING"

I dragged my wife along for the ride today :banher:and headed out to the same spot from Saturday to get it in right before dark. I landed five little ones and let two jump off but i think i totally blow what would of been the biggest of the day. Im not blaming it on my wife but as i was bringing the buzzy in i had a massive blow up but due to the fact my wife was in my ear asking me a DUMB behind question i didnt react fast enough :irked:.

Even tho i didnt catch nothing to brag about i had fun!! :headbang2. Its always fun to see people faces when i walk right up and bang some fish, specially when they say things like ive seen that lure before(buzz bait) but i dont think it will work. I simple repley "if you stick around long enough youll see".

The buzzy is the ish!!!!
