Today after going over to my cousins house to clean his filter and treat the water cause he has lost some fish, and "Venny" was in bad shape. I decided to go get a 6-9 in before i made it home.
I banged 9 little ones with the biggest being like 13-14"s
. All fish caught on the buzzy!!

landed a nice smallie yesterday morning.
was caught by suprise as i was fishing half awake.
my friends came by the house too early! -_-
well i guess catching a slugger early morning beats a bad hair day and falling n the lake any day.

i kept the smallie i caught (gotta try everything once). once you fillet it and cook it. it will probably be fine.

I must be falling off cause i have missing way more fish then i have been landing in the last two weeks. Today being no different, i missed my first fish, second one, landed the third , and missed the next one . Its not like you miss the bite, im talking about bite, hook set ,fish on, and then WTF fish jumps off . Im not totally mad cause some of fish have been little guys like 8-12"s but on Sunday i missed some decent size bass. 
I dont know whats going on with me lately but it could be worst, i could be in a slump like my brother is. I mean lately he cant buy a bite but me other hand im getting plenty of bites im just not closing the deal.WHATS WORST??
Only landed one today but i wont let that slow me down!!!!

cichlid fiend when everything seems to fail, get back to the basics.
maybe your forgetting to sharpen those hooks regularly?

Ya man sharpen them up. And if its on a buzzy or spinner bait add a trailer hook. If you have a spawn going on that could be the reason you are misssing them. They are probably not trying to eat the bait, but just a protective swipe at the most. If thats the case a trailer will fix you right up.
Went fishing at my camp two days ago, and I only caught a 12" smallie. Tried for a pike that was around 36" that surfaced near my dock but no luck. Any ideas on catching gar from a dock in the Allegheny River in PA?
