Stop crying, we have a 2ft of snow on the ground!!!

Plus how are you letting JACK out do you mann??

Hey dude, Jack fishes 7 days a week 363 days per year, the other 2 days of the year he run marathons at Disney. The dude owns almost every lure in every color known to man. And keeps track, not like you guys here do but he keeps track of how many bass he has caught since he retired back in 2004.

You can actually say that this guy is making a Fishermans Almanac - because he knows how many fish he caught per day of each month, how many Bass he caught on what lures and what day of which month of each and every year. At the end of each day this guy sits down and writes out on paper = 3 Bass on Inline Spinner, 5 on blue worm w. gold flecks, 15 on rattletrap at lake etc etc. So he has a record showing him which lures caught the most fish, say for Dec'07 and Dec'08 to have a better idea of what too use now.

I on the other hand fish for fun, I'm not a fanatic about it. I fish for size Jack will count Bass at any size.

Truely is much colder outside today and water temps are much lower, will see if any fish come up today ttyl ppl.

Went out today with Jersey Jack this afternoon an fished for 2 hours. And again Jersey JAck landed 2 of the 3 total fish for the day. But here's the diffence his 2 fish where in the 1.5 to 2 pound range, see my 1 lonely fish below:
Fishing034copy.jpg

This beast weighed approx 7.5 to 8 pounds :nilly:, hit my Spro Frog after just one hop about 25ft out had to battle her to the weedline then drag her through the weedline and fight her to the shore. Like I said Jersey Jack produces numbers, I produce size. I'll take the lunker anytime .

Yeah I know, I live in NY and I've gone on fishing trips in upstate NY & Long Island NY, NJ, MA, NC, heck I've even done a bit of fishing in PA. And I fished until I was blue in the face with little or nothing to show for it, and never the sizes I've been able to produce here in Florida. The largest Bass I've ever caught in NY is 4lbs and that was something too talk about for a long time. Here in Florida 4lbs are large bait fish in some places. ;)

Tomorrow I'm on my own as Jersey JAck will be busy for much of the daylight hours tomorrow. So I will walk my folks developement tomorrow and then do the creek outside the developement, which has Bass, Sheephead, Snook, Gars and possibly small Tarpons in it, depending on the time of the year. I may also get out to one of the two near by State Parks that have good fishing. Wish me luck and I'll post again tomorrow.

Your doing real well. Thats a great catch.
What is a spro frog, is it a floating lure ?

The fishing here has stopped. The maintenance guy at work fishes every day Mon-Fri at lunch and catches something but today nothing and its 59 degrees now which means nothing bites tomorrow.

No one is catching anything here now in any canal but it seems in N.Florida though colder your still catching . I cant wait for cold spell to end which it will in few days.

We head to NY this Wed till 27th.

I think though 10 to 20 degrees colder in winter the bass fishing is better in N.Florida during Dec to March than in S.Florida.

I hope someone who fishes the whole state chimes on and gives their opinion.
Folks were still catching PB last Sat but now nothing is biting PB nor LMB yet Tequila is doing well.

What is a spro frog, is it a floating lure ? Yes, it's a totally weedless floating lure.

This is do to the fact the PB love it hot, water temp drops below 70 degrees and these fish turn off completely, where as LMB only become sluggish in cold waters and won't chase much of anything. But they will feed if hungry and the lure is run or dropped on top of them. The last 2 big beast I caught was caught on topwater, these fish exploded on the Spro Frog, but only after the frog ran over them.

Man, I'm in my car at work and all I see is snow and you talking about catchin bass on topwater. I think I'm jealous!!!!

Well I just checked the temp and it's 58F degrees outside right now, headed to high of 66F. So I'm headed out with my new 7' rod & Penn SV 4000 reel for an afternoon of lake and creek fishing on foot. I'll let you know what happens later, CF you enjoy that beautiful snow ;) your looking at ttyl ppl.
