Of the dozen or w/e I caught so far, I don't recall any under 12"....probably 14" or 15" was biggest

That's pretty nice. Anymore the trout they stock in SWPA are either tiny 7-12" fish or monster 14-24"rs. There's no mix other than opening day stocking lol.
Dreamsofpeace54 here, wont let me long into my old account. I guess it had been too long since I was logged in. Always lurking and still fishing. First week of January showed warm temperatures and kept the schoolies rockfish in the area. Caught easily 12 in one day, the biggest around 26". The cold weather came and the fishing stopped for some time. The lady friend pictured with a decent catfish from March as well as a decent yellow perch. The bass have also been on lately. The biggest a 4.2 at 20".
I recently moved to Cecil County Maryland, and am working in Delaware. I fished Becks a few times last year and was able to land 1 snakehead. If anyone in the area has an tips or would like to get together let me know, I could always use help navigating a new area.

Had another great night at the local park fishing the little creek between the two lakes. Finished the night going 7 for 12 on Trout. Powerbait and crawlers were the ticket during the day and had a few ruthlessly pound a kastmaster after dark retrieved very slowly through a waterfall. Of the 7 I landed, 6 were caught during the day on bait, all Rainbows in the 10-14" range plus an 8" fish that jumped more than any inland rainbow I've ever caught. Got tons of follows and a few hookups with the kastmaster after dark but only brought one to land, it was still a nice 12" Brown though.

I have caught many fish around the same size (fresh and saltwater bass, different kinds of trout,....) but really nothing compares with the fight this Dovii put up. I was really surprised how hard they fight.

Went out w/ my fishing buddy this morning around 10am, fished to 2pm. He went off on his own after the 1st hour or so and I stayed and cught and released at least 20 fish rainbows and browns, then by the end of the day we decided to just roll and keep the 8 larger ones we had on the stringer and call it quits. Again, 14-15" largest, nothing major, but a nice day's work w/ 6 rainbows and 2 browns. I like the taste of browns better, so I was kinda of kicking myself for releasing the 3 or 4 browns earlier, but there's always tomorrow......still I got over 30 fish now w/ only 3 days under my belt....technically 3 half-days.....plus bass and panfish. Going to start Flatheads early this year and we're are already planning a trip to the gated-lake community for a Pike-fest shortly

B.) That Channel cat is huge, what were the length/girth/weight?
C.) Is that the Potomac in the background?
R Reiner - dude, that is so awesome. i'd love to catch a titan Dovii or Peacock bass. Were you light-lining?

Depends on what you consider light-lining. caught on a 4 piece medium 7' (rated 3/8 - 1oz) travel rod. Spinning reel with 15# braid and about 6' of 12# flouro top shot. I brought the rod to fish the beach but when I saw the hotel pond I had to pull a ninja session right before sun down. the fish hit on the 3rd cast and I released it right after but unfortunately he took the little swim bait of the hook and I had no others so I had to stop fishing right after since all the other lures I had were way to big and for ocean fishing. Probably the most exciting 5 minutes of fishing for me EVER LOL

Didn't measure, Id say it was around 7 or 8 pounds. I usually get a few over 10 pounds and 28+". Stay tuned for those pictures here soon, fingers crossed this spring starts to heat up.

All of those fish, except for the 2.9 lbers, came from the Susquehanna river. I've fished the Potomac river a few times, biggest fish was 38lb blue.
Fished for about four hours tonight to land four of these MONSTERS below LOL. The trout were there, just unresponsive to everything. There was also a point at the end of the night where I had a spot on each side of me. I fish one spot and the same rainbow would jump on the other side until I tried to catch it and then the LMB on the other side would keep jumping until I switched back to the first spot! I think the fish are conspiring against me (they're learning......). Anyway, started with flies: nothing, moved to bait: nothing, back to dry flies: 4 little gills. Opening day is only two days away and although the boat work isn't done yet, I'm looking forward to Trout and Suckers at the local creek!
