Fishroom people vs living room fish people, guess Imma fish house kinda guy. When I watch my fish, its my Zen moment.

The best pet i ever had was an alligator snapper named snappy.

At the momenti got one in the living room and one in the kitchen. Already told the other half that the next house needs to have a basement to turn into dedicated fish room!

I guess I'm all over the house 180 and 120 in the dinning room, 29 and 10 in the living room, 55 in the bed room, 2 75s, 125, and 1400 gal pond in the basement which is becoming the fish room

Im a fishroom guy simply because of the wife wont let me spread my fish fetish around the house lol.

I seriousely told my husband NO on a few nice houses because the basement was either to small... or to hard to get big tanks down into lol... I settled... as really wanted a walk-out basement... But I compromised so he got a 2 car garage, and I got a big semi finished basement with a straight shot threw the backdoor down the stairs and plenty of turn room to get tanks into.

My wife would like to send my fish back whence they came. :( :)

All of my 50-ish tanks are in our basement laundry room / fishroom. My wife basically said, do what you want down there...but nothing in the rest of the house.

I've had tanks in the entry way, living room, dining room, etc. in the past and it was a constant battle to maintain them to the level that I expected for something in view of the family and guests.

The fishroom only needs to meet my expectations (clean water, healthy fish) :)

It's a wonderful, bubbly place to chill...do some laundry...drink some beer...etc.

Matt
