Fishroom people vs. living room fish people

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm a living room guy...just for the simple fact that i don't want to have to go to another room to enjoy the game and my fish at the same time!

You can be both. I enjoy having my tanks out for people to see. I love showing off my fish and the hard work I put into it. On the other hand, i'm in the process of turning my garage into a fish room for monster tanks. Best of both worlds.

According to the original rules, I guess I'm more of a living room fish tank guy. Although at one time I was running a 345,125,40 and 29 in my living room, so it was kind of an un-offical fish room.

Current setup is:

Living room- 345 and 40 breeder

Man cave/nerd/arcade room- 20 tall

So I'm going in the direction of the "fish house guy". I'm going to try and sneak a 33 long into my son's bedroom here in the next year or so and maybe even convince the wife to replace the T.V. in our bed room with a 75 (I smell gulper cats!).

I have my 72 bowfront in my living room( small living room) and my 220 At the foot of my bed :D but if I could I would be a fish room guy

I keep my 125 in the dining room, right off the kitchen and living room, 90 in our bedroom, and then we have an extra bedroom where I keep my quarantine and grow out tanks. So that makes me .....?

Fishroom people vs living room fish people, guess Imma fish house kinda guy. When I watch my fish, its my Zen moment.

Hmmm... interesting. Most people keep fish in their living area.

I don't because I am selfish when it comes to my fish. I like the exclusivity of my fishroom, and the fact that I control virtually everything that goes on in and around my tanks. I've never really honestly kept fish to show them off, though I don't mind people admiring my pets. Further, i simply couldn't concentrate on life in general if there were tanks in my face.

Further, my kids and their friends would drive me nuts if they were able to be around my tanks. Its not that i dont trust them, because I do, but my valued animals out in the open, within arms reach of guests... gasp.

I guess i'm the lone strange one on this board. im ok with that.

A fish house would be a dream.
