5 days and then no aggression towards each other she was bothered by the tetras and I added the rest to basically my emergency tank LOL ? but I will return them tomorrow. See what happens from there I think there’s 4 ones hurt I think I will just have 3 in the end. Tried blood worms daily but nothing and usually it’s the only thing she won’t pass on.How long since the firecon went in? Any aggression between them? Might be stressed by the new cichlid.
This is very good news for me I was quick worried as most fish pass away after days of not eating of course google doesn’t clearly state anything on this!!! And as far as comfortable that was a issue to start with but about a week after she got comfortable I still proceeded to add the tetras so honestly I could be the cause my actions she was eating had a staple in her diet everything was fine about 5 days and I got 4 tetras well I thought o maybe 4 more and it was suggested by several people to add more and I did then she got weird for even longer so I hope with the regular stock and then 1 extra the Firecon fish and I am already noticing that she’s not on the prowl but simply swimming and using her den again! Not hiding on the side trying to kill of the tetras. So I don’t know ?Don’t get too worried, as long as she isn’t lethargic and you’re not seeing white stringy poo you’re fine. They can go for weeks without food. You just have to let her get used to her new environment and let her be more comfortable. Tbh if anything the tetras would’ve helped her get more comfortable in the tank faster
She killed all but 3 I just looked I have then in a different tankNipping at the tetras isn’t too concerning. They heal really fast and can take a hit (as long as they aren’t killed). My jd would regularly nip at the tetras but has slowed down with some size.
If the eating stopped when the new cichlid went in, I’d bet it’s stress related to that. It will adjust unless there is too much aggression (which is possible - you don’t always see it).
