Good sources for live food

I’ve been feeding crickets, earth worms, minnows, tilapia, shrimp cutlets, blood worms, brine shrimp and probably something I’m forgetting like 3 times a week other than that they eat hikari sinking carnivore pellets(they absolutely love these things). I was wondering about any other foods y’all have tried. Maybe small live crabs, snails or crab meat? Also if you have a good place to source live foods that would help (All listed live food is quarantined and fed with good quality food and cared for properly)

That's a great list of foods I personally would add frozen Mysis instead of the Brine Shrimp.

I have a pair of convicts which breed like crazy, they spawn so much i've had a hard time trying to give them away.Whenever I toss in some fry in my bichir tank they're gone by morning.

Yea I bet, I had to wait a while to add the Congos because it was had to find some the bichirs would get to in 1 night. Also I have an adult banded serverum in that tank so feeder minnows don’t last long.

I’ve fed them dried ones but I ran out I’m make sure to grab some, thanks. What do you think about clam or snail meat? Also I’ve heard they like beef heart but haven’t tried that as I haven’t done any research on it.

aquatic flesh and insects are best for them, no beef heart if you want them to live a long time.
