Hand Feeding Bichirs

IgnatzMcJockel IgnatzMcJockel I dont worry about it. They eat whole fish in the wild and the bones in smelt are pretty much non existent.
Yeah my grandfather used to catch them and we'd just clean them cut off the heads fry them and eat them whole. Didn't bother us at all.

Yeah they were really good. Wish he was still around. He lived off the land as much as possible, definitely an outdoors man. Fresh salmon, venison, smelt. But when I was old enough to drink and went to visit he always wanted to go to the local bar for a beer and a burger. I wanted what he ate daily....lol. Different worlds.

Looks like i had nothing to worry about feeding whole fish...
Since yesterday my female EBA ist gone without a trace (and one of my polys has a big belly) ?

I had the first success in handfeeding her the second day after i got her.
Now, about two weeks later it is working really great ?

Blue is actually a wild caught P. polli. Not retropinnis.
