Help with sump set-up

From what I see from your diagram, it looks like the water will channel under the media instead of directly through it...not the most effective way to do it. You want to place your baffles so the water is forced through the media.

What do you suggest? Could I put a baffle in the middle of the media chamber so the water travels under from the sock chamber, through the media, over the middle baffle, down through more media and under the next baffle to my final chamber?
