How good escape artists are these guys?

I have roughly 75 pounds of weight on top of a 120 with big polys. By big, I mean the average length is over 20". I had to chase a 2' PBB around the fish room a few weeks ago. I only had about 35 LB on top. After I got it back in, I added what I hope is enough weight. Yes, they can displace a top if they are large enough compared to the top.

How do they do with raphael catfish, and the question i asked in an old thread, could an 35cm palmas palmas eat a 10cm Synodontis Catfish?

I personally have not tried them with raphael catfish but with these guys tank mates as long as no one is a threat to the other they usually get along just fine. I personally wouldn't risk it, but since it's an UJ it could work out as long as it is kept well fed. UJ IME usually don't eat other tank mates it's usually the LJ and not just LJ but really hungry LJs. IMO if you keep him well fed you shouldn't have any problems, but you will always have to know with that size comparison there is always the chance as long as they are in the same tank.

I have two 9" senegals In a 75 with two striped Raphael cats about 5". And they've been together since they were probably half that size if not even smaller. In my grow out I have 2 ornates 2 teugelsi 2 albino senegals 2 rope fish and a senegal with 2 spotted Raphael and they have never bothered each other

My bad I didn't clarify when I say I wouldn't risk it on down I am talking about the syndontis and palmas palmas.

I dont know exactly how big my synos are, i have 1 thats about 20cm, im hoping thats to big to be eaten. One thats about 13 - 20, and one thats a little smaller than that one. If the smallest is 15cm is there still a chance of them being eaten?

They should be ok but there will always be that chance. However with UJ they tend to not eat tank mates unless they are very small and if the poly is hungry. So I would definitely put the larger one in there first to let the poly get used to it and see if there are any problems. If there aren't then I would out the smaller ones in there. I would still watch carefully between them and make sure to keep the palmas palmas well fed.

How big does a fish have to be before the palmas palmas cant eat them?
