That will depend if they are male or female IMO

What would they need if need if they were 2 females? What would I need if they were both males? If one is male and one is female what would they need?

I will look up ways to id sex and if I can't I will post some pictures.

People will give you different answers to that one. I try to at least (at least!) follow 4 times the length of the turtle's shell in length (7 inch turtle=28 inch long tank) 2 times the length of the turtle's shell in width (7 inch turtle=14 inches wide).Depth is really your own choice, but more water, less concentrated the waste.

In my case, my female who is around 4 inches is in a 36 inch long tank and its 18 inches wide.

My male which is around 6 inches is in a 39 inch long tank and its 18 inches wide.

That is what I do, everyone will have a different answer for that.

As always, bigger is better. I would try to aim for 150 gallon or so for two turtles, rubbermaid stock tanks are nice.

I also have some decent filtration for the tanks. An Ac110 for my female and a xp3 canister for the male.

The basic hardfast rule, is ten gallons per inch of turtle, there fore you would need a 70 Gal tank for a 7 inch long turtle.

Not really a fan of that rule myself since it does not do much for measurements of the tanks.

Ex: 125 gallon tank is fine for a 12 inch turtle according to that rule, but I would not want to put a 12 inch animal in a tank that is only 18 inches wide....seems mean in my mind for such an active creature.

If I over filter and do frequent water changes would it be okay for my turtles? They seem happy and the land space takes no swimming space at all. They are those floating basking areas.

you will hear no argument from me about that

I just saw my turtles mounting in the tank after fluttering their legs in front of each other! I hope I don't get eggs! Does that mean for sure I have a male and a female? Or can there be same sex mounting and mating?

What is the minimum tank size for a male and female?
