... not lying too. First, indeed simply talk to your teacher about all this, so then you could honestly say that yes you spoke with your teacher and are following their advice. It's so exceedingly simple that lying in this scenario is even ridiculous, not only wrong altogether.
I agree with other peers that
[1] getting good grades
[2] being well behaved
[3] being obedient to your parents and
[4] showing how responsible and earnest you are with your new endeavor and how much you have been learning through it
should in general melt the heart of any sensible parent and they will be MUCH more responsive to anything you ask.
You gotta give to receive. It goes without saying so much, that often we forget this truth altogether.
