no offense I have definately see more rays pass through my tanks fresh from the wild than 99 percent of ray keepers....I have seen many a ray break down after import and recognize the signs....If you dont see parasites dont treat for em unless the ray is wasting away....all fish have a parasite load and healthy fish can live a perfectly healthy life with them.

Im thinking your ray is suffering from its recent shipping across the country as well as a recent import with no acclimation time in between..I have had alot of success treating these haze problems with Binox but I would hesistate to reccomend anything to you without seeing the rays in person etc... first thing u need is water parameter check.... also some salt wouldnt hurt

i understand what you are saying...I will test my water tomorrow.

My guy has slowed down eating too in the last few days. Ive been doing daily water 30-50% water changes. My readings are as good as it can get. My nitrates are 15-20 it comes out of the tap like that. His eyes look much better then yours though. Im not starting to worry yet. I hope its just stress and they need a bit of time to settle. Good luck!

This type of thing is what keeps me from purchasing a wild caught. I really wish the importers would let the wild caughts rest and recoup in a facility for several weeks. But I guess they would rather sell them immediately so they don't have to absorb any
loses.

GL and hope everything gets better.

Get them from California blackworms just google the name, I go thru 15 lbs a week and have never seen any parasites or had any problems. Newborns of these size should always be fed blackworms for first month or so until there nice and fat then you can start to get them on other foods. I would also assume some type of bacterial infection get a product called binox it works great and salt is always a help no matter what.

This is not that much of a problem, I've seen my rays do it when the water quality is not so perfect. Just do a few WC's and I hope for the best for you!
