I personally HATE hikari, but you don't see hikari reps on here bashing me because I said this.. hell, I'm stuck buying hikari because it's the only thing my Frontosa colony will eat.

Hey aqua, call the company directly also if their web page still giving you problems.

RD Man, chill out, let Aqua contact the CO, and maybe we'll see what the problems are.

Besides, other members also said they got some issues with the food, like the guy with the fish that's farting orange clouds.

Anyone that has taken the time to read back through this 20 yr old kids topics in the past few months can clearly he see that he doesn't know jack sheet as to what he's doing, right down to how much water he should be changing. If you haven't taken the time to look, then don't be pointing your finger at me like I'm the bad guy here.

I have no problem if someone doesn't like NLS, nor am I holding a gun to anyone's head forcing them to feed it, what I do have a problem with is when people can't take responsibility for their own actions, and always look to blame someone or something else. Unlike everyone else at least I have the stones to call this for what it is. I hate NLS wah-wah-wah, blah-blah-blah. So stop feeding it!

The president of NLS is leaving for China tomorrow & won't be back for a couple of weeks. And as already stated, there are NO problems, and there are NO "bad batches". I handle more of this food in 1 year than any of you will see in a lifetime, if there was a problem I would know it.
I'm not sure how much more clearly I can make this?


Now we are to address a single Fahaka's orange cloud farts? Unbelievable ....

As suggested repeatedly, if the food isn't working for the OP then he can switch foods.

Problem solved, maybe ......

The issue that we are having is that you came onto this thread spewing your NLS preacher crap, when the fact is that ANY company can have a bad batch. Who cares how much you go through, or that the owner personally oversees ALL steps in the process? Things happen. It is VERY possible that he could have a bad batch.

Has there or has there not been bad batches of food used for human consumption- such as spinach etc? So, to think that it can't happen with fish food is absurd.

The poster has stated it's only when he feeds NLS- I feed 1 of my tanks hikari sinking pellets, and it makes my water smell like crap. I do 25% water changes every day, and on the 3rd day I do a 50% change.. my filtration in spot on, but I still have water that smells like a fresh pile of you know what.

The OP has been pointed in ways of new filtration as well as stocking, as well as adding carbon to see if that makes a difference.

I am not saying that the OP isn't doing anything incorrectly- but he definitely is open to CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, and not someone pushing a product down his throat to be deemed "the food of all foods".

I mentioned that I feed all of my tanks NLS- it started with me buying the cichlid a formula for my flowerhorn, and then I was given 3 unopened containers of it.. that is what I feed it. It is not bad food, but given the option, I would feed Kens over NLS anyday.

Let's have him try some new foods and see what happens shall we?

RD, don't worry about the negative comments, you got my respect just for having a sump filter; something I want to get, but never got the resources to do.
