Always dose the medication for the full length of time. Just because a fish starts to look/act better doesn't mean that you can stop treatment. It's just like when you go to the doctor and are prescribed an antibiotic -- if they give you a seven-day prescription and you feel better in four, you're supposed to continue for the full seven days anyway.
thats what i said im gonna do the 5 day treatment although im amazed hes recovering.... he is still not eating... i tried blood worms, krill, flakes, hikari staple and gold???

Don't worry much about food right now. It's barely been a day since you started treating the fish. Give it time, as it gets more active, then try feeding again. Appearance can be deceiving with fish... may be looking better, but it's still sick. Just give it time and it should be ok. It appears it's going to make a full recovery. Just keep an eye on it, try and darken the area the best you can so it doesn't stress much and that will make the recovery even better on the fish.

Good to see it's looking better, follow the instructions you've been given and it shohld make a full recovery. Good Luck.

I had a similar issue with my Midas cichlids. I had a red one like the one you have and a creamsicle one. I thought it was an ick outbreak but I finally figured that my parameters were just messed up. To make a long story short, I had messed up my cycle and had to get some seachem products to jump-start things again.

Thaks i will feed it later... Wat do you mean by darken the area i leave the lights of most of the day

I already checked my parameters..... It had something called columnaris or somethin like thay not sure

The lights in the room the tank is in can even cause stress in a fish. If you can, keep the room it's in darker than you normally would until it's better. I have to say, it didn't look good for that fish, but given its improvement in such a short time. I'd say it looks good that this fish will make it. Keep up the treatments and I'd leave it in the QT/hospital tank for a week or 2 just to insure it's fully recovered and then move it back to the other tank. This will also give you time to make sure any issues in the main tank are gone as well.
