Agreed.

I did the same thing, thinking the same, hoping to alert as many MFK's as possible of a negative experience - and see what happens? The thread gets closed... "Nothing wrong with sharing experiences" eh?
I seriously think that the fact that this has happened twice in the last week calls for a new forum where people can TRULY share their "yea or nay" experiences without bickering going back and forth. Just a forum where people can post a vendor, or individual name and say "Great experience!" or "bad experience" with a brief description of what made it a good, or bad experience. Not necessarily a blaming game. Even good vendors mess up once in a while. That's a given. But if we don't have such a forum, we may never know if a particular vendor messes up 25 times, as opposed to once.

Ya don't need a forum for this, just have a sticky thread in each of the vendors individual forum that way ya can see experiences with that vendor both good and bad. You could limit to 1 post by customer and 1 reply by vendor.

Posting multiple threads saying the same thing is regarded as spamming, which is against the board rules, hence the closing of the repeat threads.

A grievance forum in theory is great, however, it has been tried and results in nothing but flaming, lynch mobs and airing of dirty laundry. In addition, the full story never really gets exposed and other members jump in without the full story causing further insult.

Business dealings are between members and vendors. MFK merely provides a vehicle for members to find items they want and for vendors to sell their wares. We are not saying that you cannot voice your dissatisfaction, however, like with everyone else, there is a set of board rules and regulations that need to be adhered to.

what about something like this, http://cichlid-forum.com/reviews/ , its not a forum, and it works well over on that site, just a thought.

If it has been tried, with the EXPECTED RESULTS of flaming and lynch mobs, as has been ably demonstrated in the past few days, how about a simpler version, perhaps of a vote type / feedback type - Like Ebay does - A short and sweet sentence with a "Yea or Nay" and nobody else can chime in. Then we TRULY would be able to go by our own judgment, and the few/far between bad folks that manage to weasel their way around online would end up being exposed by their negative feedback numbers. How about it guys? It'd definitely make MFK a happier place, without all these tiring threads, yet it would still help awareness regarding various vendors, amongst the MFK community.

I didn't vote, cause I'm not sure who is really at fault. It seems like a miscommunication. However, I would expect a more respectful response from a vendor in the event of such a situation. I would hesitate to buy from any vendor that talked down to me and would not bother to sort the situation out.

So now you know the story, and it's time to respond and/or vote. Please let me know what you think, and feel free to ask any questions that you might have about the details of the story as well. Of course, this is only my side of it, and I can be considered somewhat biased about who's at fault here. But I have tried to lay out this as honestly as possible, and would welcome Joe's comments about the whole thing. I don't mean any ill will here, Joe's selection and prices are the best I've seen, but I really feel like I got screwed on this one, and want to know if you think so too.

Thanks for reading!

In this case I believe that TFD should act with a credit in resolution to your issue. And not that it's your business or mine, but they should also in my opinion reprimand and possibly hold accountable the employee that took your order and gave you the instruction ..

For future reference... In both cases I had with vendors... One being Fishroom and the other being TFD.. I have to say they are excellent vendors and I had a bad exp. with one but Because I read the policy and didn't BREAK it... My money was refunded save shipping :)

I next ordered form TFD and even though i was told things i was on the phone with them like any buyer should be.... almost constantly for my order :) And they had EXCELLETN service for my non stop calling..

You see i believe they have the ultimate fault in YOUR situation due to the instructions given..

But I am I guess not your everyday I trust everybody buyer.. Because I was calling everyone even the airline eSPECIALLY SINCE i had no clue WHAT I WAS DOING.. To make sure by the time my fish showed up I was there!! :)

As for Sanctuary Once agian dude sorry that was your bad not reading policy..It doesn't say if you haggle for a couple bucks it flat out says

"if you haggle the price your are haggling your garrauntee.. "

I ALWAYS READ THE POLICY with ONLINE deals and feel it is just not very intelligent to not read..

Sorry about the spelling :D

I wanted to thank NE Cichlids personally for opening a new thread for customers. Now that's what I call professionalism. A rare thing these days, unfortunately.
