I think malas are the only illegal wolf species in Cali. That being said a rainbow wolf would be a good choice for a 60. They are always predatory but their individual personality governs how aggressive they are. They also are not as active in bigger tanks in my experience. If you had a bigger tank curupira wolves and aimara are much more aggressive but get much bigger.

I thought you lived in Louisiana. Anyways you can't keep anything in Cali. Maybe a rainbow wolf, it's technically not listed.
Thank you and I will do my research and I just want a aggressive fish that eat fish and that is legal here in my state do you know anything cool looking fish instead of a cichlids

Are you looking for fish that are bold and aggressive towards Humans...or bold and aggressive towards other fish.

Big difference.

If you haven't kept piranhas before and have kept other aggressive fish, you will most likely be disappointed. They are extremely skittish towards humans. They will hide every time they see you. They will most likely be weary of eating with the lights on.
However, any fish you throw into the tank will potentially become a food source. Now, whether they eat in front of you or not is the question.

If you do decide to purchase Red bellies, enjoy the juvi stage. They are a bit more fearless when young.

You could do buck tooth tetras there agressive and live in shoals
But extremely expensive..
Exodons are like fireworks...Amazing display but they dwindle exponentially fast without the right conditions.
