I am planning to put a fairly complex sump in, so i really could not use a liner and with all the bulkheads and drain pipes i would have to cut around. Plus i really do not like the price.

Heres a thought. If you are trying to do this project "on the Cheap". you can use a pond liner. Just make your sump above the pond instead of below it. Use your Quiet one in the pond to pump water UP to the sump and have it drain (via gravity) into the pond. How Mac Guyver is that. You could use a 5gal bucket for the sump $4 at home depot. good luck. Just do it dont give up.

Ebay has a good selection on pond liners.

maseyferguson05,i think i pm'ed you and said something like that "if you didnt understand my pm"lol
my 150g had a filter like that, its in my diy thread.
you could almost do your filter idea, just above it.

and liner,e bay.
you can get the 5 year warranty one for cheap.
but they also have a 25 year one that isnt to much more.
im getting the 25 year one.think it was $125 for my 8x4x2 and filter"
thats a guess been a while since i looked at my size/sizes on e bay. :D

Drylok is far cheaper, easier to apply. I have seen numerous people using sanitred and have had a hard time getting a seal around the glass. My 600 is dryloked, and leak free so far since January. You can pm the fish guy if you want, I know he has used both and has said if he was to build another he would use drylok again. I dont think I would use directly on wood, although it does work.
