Jaguar Cichlid male or female

not a good ideal, I do not suggest feeder fish at all unless you raise them yourself, gold fish and the such are out, cold water fish are not good for warm water fish and if you buy them, you are exposing them to decease and parasites. if you are looking for a protean treat feed freeze dried krill soaked over night in boyds vitachem and once or twice a week, preferably the night before water change as x amount of protean = x amount of ammonia = x amount of nitrite = x amount of nitrate.

Okay thanks for your help. Do you have any picture of your jaguar cichlids when they where around my jags age?
 
humm they where a little young here.
 
heres one of the little guys from that spawn.
 
or maybe from this spawn, just to many spawns to be sure. :)

 
at 5 months I new this guy was a male. again raised from egg.

 
and knew this gal was female.
 
about 3 months later they hit there own tank. 145g. and Jag love began. not a pretty thing its rather brutal.

So I got a third Jaguar Cichlid so I can get a better chance at a male. My buddy is taking the other two. When choosing which one to keep should I go by color and looks or dominance
