Well thanks alot for that wonderful show! I am very impressed. Did you get hard as you watched that mouse drown? Wow your fish really is BIG and BAD!
Careful Skip. Rallys already locked 1 thread because this guy is "not so bright".
I don't agree with it either and the other guy in Seattle is probably someone who lives in the same house with him or something...
Dropping live animals into a box of water so that his "Under 1lb. bass" can drown it instead of eat it while he drops the F-Bomb on a 5yr old is this guy's Forte'.
I think people who own fish/animals should be required to have a license that costs more than guys like this can afford to prevent this kind of crap.
Can't buy a second mouse @ $1.99 a day later makes me wonder how he can take care of his fish.
Anyway, to answer the actual POST QUESTION... I had a 4lb LMB with large, CA Cichlids and they got along fine.
The LMB eventually died of bloat from being unable to digest the krill I was feeding the cichlids. Maybe I should have tried a rodent...
P.S. And for this other guy from Seattle, comparing fish and crickets to mice?? Come on dude. If you're going to make an argument for the abuse, at least compare apples to apples.
Mice happen to be very intelligent. That's why you never see any crickets in laboratories being tested for possible side-effects of certain products on humans.
Mice realize fear and have a basic, instinctual knowledge of what death is. Goldfish do not. They possess "flight responses" (swimming away quickly to avoid predation) but don't experience pain and anguish the way that mice do.
And comparing a pinky whos eyes aren't even OPEN yet to a full grown mouse is stupid. It has no conception of predation or it's eventuality. Even at that, it's still not right.
Fish eat mammals in the W I L D because they have to (if the opportunity presents itself) to survive.
An aquarium is a "Controlled Environment" and the fish does not "need" a mouse to survive. He could have spent the same $1.99 on nightcrawlers. Unless you are going to compare worms to mice now too. haha
Next time argue with some rationale please...
