Long finned blue eye lemon BN

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If it’s her first time then it could be a smaller batch. Should get false 144 young this time.
Absolutely it was her first batch of eggs. I’m also okay with a smaller batch of eggs. I’m running out of room for growing them haha

Soooo I noticed my albino female is looking pretty skinny....I checked on my male and it looks as though his egg clutch has grown. I think he’s now sitting on eggs from both females.

Sounds like he got addicted to having kids. You should pitch him to the TV show "my strange addiction" lol.

So the blue eyed lemons hatched today and someone in my tank had a feast on pleco eggs. I think it was the lemons that hatched as the albino laid eggs a day or two later.

I won’t know for sure until these guys grow up a bit.

My speculation is the lemons caused a ruckus inside the cave when they burst out of their shells (if you haven’t seen a video of them hatching it’s pretty cool). Either they pushed the albino eggs out when hatching or dad pushed eggs when fanning or eating their casings. Either way I rescued about 30 babies in a breeding box and found empty egg casing all over my tank.

A male from another tank, I loved him bc he was fighting with a male and he broke on of the leading rays on his fin. his bristles are coming in nicely since being moved
