Midnight Visitor BUSTED!!

Yeah, I chose to live here for exactly that: I love it wild! I could never ever stand living in a city again, I mean I miss the City, but, for the present, I am very blessed to live in this incredible land where it really is still wild, there's places to walk endlessly where no one has ever set foot, I know it may not last, so I treasure it.

I am so sorry to hear about that attack, I know there's actually quite a few in CA, but they are so endangered there. Here they are still huge and just have massive paws, if they were scientifcally reclassified present day, It would border on 2 separate subspeices. I know how dangerous it is, but after time, you can feel the "mood" in the air. When the (wild)cats come close, the owls fly at night and the coyotes howl like crazy , it means they're killing and it's just like blood in the water for sharks. sometimes they howl so loud it wakes me up and I yell at them them to shut the heck up. They don't listen. Large illegal Indian fireworks work pretty well to mess with the wild animals when they are being naughty.

Awesome exprerience there, well at least it is since ya lived to tell about it. Those cougars can be bad news.

Wow, thank you so much for posting the picture. I live in idaho but i haven't seen one of these guys yet, thank god.

Keep safe, as much as it is a great threat, what a beautiful animal.

Boise? Yeah, they're thick in the panhandle near Canada, but dat dere be Grizzly and Wolf County-I really feel no fear from the Cougars when I think about the Wolves and Grizzly's-that's da*m scary. Head North and you will see!

Good thing you laughed and didn't listen:

Cougar (All Feline Predators): Stand facing the animal, try to look as big as possible, wave sticks, hold hard eye contact, yell, DO NOT turn, run or display fear or weakness, and when that all doesn't work, protect your throat, they suffocate.

BEARS: turn sideways, never make eye contact, back very slowly, submit to his challenge but don't run, don't move, and when they do most likely attack, play dead no matter how bad it hurts, they will cover you and return later to eat you! Now this is where I would hand down, no hesitation blast a bear.
Any bear that comes near humans is incredibly dangerous.

holy cow...wth

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!! That's kinda scary. And when I say kinda, I mean I would have pissed myself. That's a big cat!!!!! Awesome picture though. Yeah, I don't think any dog would think about taking that beast on. Their teeth are huge and they're really fast, not to mention very very powerful!!!!
