I cant wait to be living in a place where I know I will be long enough to make an investment like this.

That being said, I am making a large (at least 8' long) plexi tank this summer at work, so that should be some good experience for the future.

Dustin, you worry too much. Of course it eats. Thats what animals do! :grinno:

Ha, good to hear...I wasnt too worried. Honestly my chevron tang was the hardest thing I have ever had to get onto prepared foods. And that wasnt too bad.

Achilles are known for not eating once in captivity though(big difference from even a chevy)...and the fish didn't get shipped to me because he wasn't eating for a while....and he just spent 36 hours in a box...

Pretty sure the achilles just ate, or at least tried a piece of NLS. Hard to tell in my QT tank because of where it is tucked into. Supposedly the hardest fish to keep out of anything I have had and by far the quickest to try NLS of any fish I have had.

nice. nothing like worrying about a new fish not eating.

is it a bad idea to have your q/tank plumbed into your main display. i think the anwser is yes..wont work for treating ich/meds.

Yes, very bad idea. If you treated your QT tank you would also be treating your main tank. Any new fish you put into the QT would be introducing disease, which is why you QT instead of putting in the display.

Exactly. They starve them before they ship, and then he sits without food even longer...In my mind, fish are usually eager to accept food right off the bat unless something is wrong. (Sick, damaged, or poor means of capture)

Like I mentioned to you last night on the phone...if it takes NLS...the battle is won haha. :D

Yes, especially if it is a reef. I dont think Dustins tanks are connected though...

Little update on my wrasse situation. I left this past weekend and came home to one of the females making some major color changes and turning into a male. One of my clowns also had a pretty beat up fin and now I can't find him anywhere! So anyways, I contacted Pacificislandaquatics.com to tell them I really don't think that sending me a male is a smart idea. He gave me the option of 1 male or 2 females and I chose 2 females to be safe. So those should be coming this week, I hope. Don't really know with the way it has been with this company.

I also got some really cool orange and blue with lime green mouthed Ricordea Yumas and a rock with a handful of bright green Florida Ric's.

I think I also haven't said that I got 3 more cleaner shrimp. Only wanted 2 more, but they had a special and it made the 3rd 4 bucks so I did it. Might pull one out and put it in my 75 though.

A group of cleaners is fun to watch at times. Odd to think of something low on the food chain being so social.

And at least one of the wrasses changed sexes before the male got shipped.

Definitely is, I was moving a coral today and one of the new ones jumped on my hand and started cleaning away. Very entertaining.

I am somewhat disappointed that I will have to wait for this one to turn into a super male, but at least I am averting a crisis if the new male got here and one was too far changed to be held off(this still would be a possibility in my mind, but a risk nonetheless).

So you have one changing? And you are still going to get another fish? I think I would just take credit.

Read on my thread what my new thoughts on PIA might be ha.
