My 210 FOWLR Turned Reef

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I will do that in the coming week because a few things will be changing and I currently do not have my camera. Chiller will go online and changing to a different skimmer. For now you can view the pics at the beginning of the thread showing my sump. It pretty much looks the same right now, with the heaters in the middle return pump chamber. The GFO reactor I now have is next to the skimmer in that chamber. I filter sock the overflow on the skimmer side now too, forgot to mention that. Also, my ozone airline runs directly into the skimmer.

Uh oh, new skimmer? What the elk?

Side note I kinda want to run ozone in my tank...but dont have the guts...getting a unit and hooking it up to the AquaC EV seems so easy though.

You know me...always buying stuff.

Ya dude, it is simply to run ozone and man crystal clear water. I don't need carbon or any other things like that. I am going to pull my GFO offline and see if that is even necessary.

Fixed the issue. Here they are...

My skimmer just came in. I will get some pics up when I get the chance.

Chevron is eating very well including pellets in QT. The 2 anthias seem to be a little more picky at this point, but doing alright. Once I get them both eating well, I will start PraziPro treatment.

I really wish chevron tangs kept that colour as they got older... that said they are still a beautiful fish as an adult.

I agree on both counts. At least I got a super small one so I will get to enjoy the juve. coloration as long as possible.

GOt a few new pics including the new skimmer.

This thing is a beast.

Coral is browned out because I had it on the sandbed for quite a while. I was having trouble mounting it where I needed it.

Nice unicorn, ya they grow super fast, which is why I get so annoyed when people put them in tiny tanks with the plan to upgrade years down the road... since it doesnt take years (and so many people who say that never upgrade either way). I love the Sailfin as well, they are super impressive when they reach their full size, IMO they are like a polite safe version of a lionfish, in the sence that they are such an impressive show piece that is matched by few others.
