Caught my Betta taking a nap in an unusual spot20180924_182605.jpg

Mom and pops doing good still, a little skittish atm from the roommates moving. Have not started another batch of fry yet, waiting till things calm down I assume.20180928_114836.jpg
The previous batch of fry are getting huge. It's wierd how some are way bigger than others. Luck of finding food I guess. I did see one of the HRP fry chasing a baby Platty yesterday, don't know if it finally got it, they both disappeared into the rocks. Pics of some fry from the last batch about 1/2in or so now.20180928_115052.jpg 20180928_114724.jpg

They are starting to turn blue!20181009_094714.jpg
Not sure exactly how many I have now. I saw six of them at the same time. Plan is to let them grow some more then split them between the 125s.
My Texans and Devil's are big enough now that they can start eating the future spawns. Was thinking of separating them, to calm the tank down some. But then dad would not be busy with breeding and fry care so may attack tank mates.

I set up the 46bowfront to keep my extra male Sagittae in till rehomed. Well he has found a new home so I have an empty tank. I gather up all the HRP fry and move them in. Leave them be for a while but all they did is hide. So I move all the others from the 55, Plattys, Swords,Neons in and now the fry are out all the time.

So now in the 55 it's just the pair of HRP's and the four Kuhli loaches. It seems the HRP's are scared now and don't come out. They have always been with others so I guess on payday I will get them new dithers. Over the last six months or so the HRP's have shaved the Neons down to ten from sixteen. I think I'll go with a bigger tetra like Bleeding Hearts or some such.
