This is very interesting, Im used to feeding Mostly chopped up tilapia fillet an various frozen foods.

Maybe add some spirulina (IDK, just throw the algae wafers in?), I know that's a great source of nutrients for most fish.

you can buy spirulina at health food stores.

I'm going to make a second, larger batch today. I'll take pictures of the process if you guys want.

i was wondering if you feed this to fish that is just a carnivurous fish will they just not eat it or will it depend on the fish? or would it just be better to make two different batches one with just meat and one with meat and vegitables

a carnivoris fish will eat this with vegetables in it. No need to make 2 batches, you can just make a single batch with meat and veggies.

I made my 2nd batch. Got 5 flats out but they are quite a bit thicker (maybe too thick) flats. Used 1lb of tilapia fillet, probably 1/6 lb of raw shell-on shrimp, 1/4lb frozen spinach, a small bunch of grapes, a large handfull of baby carrots, garlic and tomato juice. I'm going to see how this works out (probably just as well as the first).

thats pretty much my handwriting

you don't happen to be 4 years old and suffer from mental retardation do you? JK of course.

I have to say this thicker batch still hasn't frozen, its been in the deep freeze since i made it at 2 until this morning at 10:30.

This stuff is VERY good. If i had more free time and lived closer to a big city i might debate on selling this stuff.

I have some Scats and want to make a batch of veggie food do you dry it out so there is more food and nutrients or just let the veggies as is in the blender This is a great ides to make your own frozen food will save me some money thanks

Exactly what I was planning to do with my next batch for the discus.

X24, all good still, I'm guessing batch number 2 will make wholesale;)

If i had the means i would sell it. Its working out very good and even though i made this batch a little TOO thick (expanded slightly and now the zipper on 2 of the 5 bags doesn't completely work, and also chunks have to be bitten off of it so its a little more messy then the one where they could swallow it whole)

Thinking about it, you could make a complete carnivore, a cichlid and a veggi formula sell each flat for $4 + S&H and probably make $1-2 a flat.

Buy the ingredients in bulk and you could probably cut the cost of manufacturing down and add a "professional" looking label.....but alas i don't have the time to do such a thing :grinno:
