festives, festivums, flag cichlids, whatever you call them, may say semi aggressive on lfs tags but thats relative to other community fish. if i were to give them an MFK rating i would say PEACEFUL, like canada without hockey. they are interesting little guys though. if youre going that peaceful some tetra/danio schools could be cool. a school of 10 or 15 giant danios all swiiming in sync would really please the misses. so would buenos ares tetra, i really like them, quite colorful, fast and always biccering amongst themselves. but i think the best fish possible for that tank, assuming you want it to stay peaseful, would be discus. they school, breed, are BEAUTIFUL, have personalities and will seriously please the misses, just don't leave their receipt lying around.
emerald corys are great. they will breed no doubt, its just a matter of if the babies survive, which i'm sure some will.
wow, thats a dedicated water change schedule. but this things alot bigger. i really think that you and your fish would appreciate some wet dry.
