my plywood tank frame! (with pics)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah her barb is about 1 3/4" long and quite thick, i will post pics in a bit as cracking on with the stand a bit behind schedule as just helped the mrs put the horse in for the night, first epoxy coat is nearly dry so will skim off the bits where the silicone is and then put wood filler on the top of the holes and then coat with epoxy probably
coat again tomoz,

the construction on the base is made of 4x2 1 set of parallel sides has 3 side by side and the other has 2 side by side and 2 side by side through the middle.

pics up after work guys i fell asleep in the chair last night! trying to work out a design with cross members in the base that will also allow access to the centre of the base! ITS CLEVER!!! wait and see!

these are as far as i have got so far,
the base is complete but will be adapting the under side tomoz to fit my air pumps and lines and my water heating equipment for water changes and drilling holes for my external filter and adding a power strip for the lights and sockets,
but for the lights to hang off i was thinking like pyramid shape of hinges so it opens like a roof flying off a house in a hurricane! lol cant describe it any other way,

THIS IS A FULL SHOT OF IT

CORNER OF STAND FORM LEFT

CORNER OF STAND FROM RIGHT

UNDER SIDE OF STAND DOUBLE PERLING SPANNING BRACED BOTTOM OF TANK

WILL POST MORE DEAILED PICS TOMOZ AS DIDNT REALISE I HADNT TAKEN PICS UNTIL PUT TANK ON STAND! AND CANT BE ARSED TO GET IT OFF NOW!
