Sorry I don't have much experience with this - but at one time I had my car window guy (just a local windshield shop) come and actually give me a free advice session on what to do with my bulkheads of my acrylic tank. He would have done the job for me, if he had the right tools.
My opinion is safety first - I would call your local glass / auto window shop and explain the situation and ask them if they are willing to help.
