heres my question to you midnight, why are you in such a hurry to move a 22" aro that obviously has some sort of problem from the 90 to the 240 that isnt cycled, doesnt have the proper temp or perams? doing this could possibly stress the aro even more putting it over the edge, possibly death. if i were you id figure out the problem first, fix it, and have the 240 set up perfectly for your aro. rushing things are only going to cause more problems. now i may have missed the reason for rushing the big move so dont jump down my throat people, i know the 90 is too small for the aro but it will suffice till the 240 is actually ready.

I would be willing to bet the small tank is stressing the fish.

If you move the cycled filter on the 90 to the 240, it'll be cycled too (assuming all chlorine is gone).
As long as there is enough bacteria to support the fish in the 90, it'll be fine. The amount of waste is the same, but it will be diluted by the larger volume of water in the 240. As long as the bacteria stay alive in the transfer you'll be fine.

gotcha  just wondering if it was ill or wondering as to what was wrong with it. if its stressed from the small tank, just match temp and perams and throw that big boy in there, then move filter.

if you dont have a large enough net, put a garbage bag in one side of the tank and then corral him into the bag. close the top of the bag and carry him over to the new tank and release.

so rally
should i drain 50% of 90g tonight and replace with 240g water?
then tomorrow night do the same
then that night or next move him without aclimating?
thanks for all the help.

i dont see a garbage bag holding up to a pissed monster aro but thanks for tip.lol

hold it open on one end of the tank and just gently guide him into it, this might take some time but it works well, eventually he will go in it, once in close that puppy up and move. and yes pillow cases are soft, i sleep on one every night. maybe youll get one for christmas and finally enjoy the wonders of cotton.;) j/k
