Trust me the pic of the filter on it right now is not picture worthy. Its a POS. I would like to add some rays and plan on doing so but the pond is still cycling and doesn't have the real filtration on it yet or heaters so the rays are a couple months off. I want to be 100% sure the water is ready for them before spending alot of money and still need to do a little more reading up on them as well before my purchase. Starting with a nice motoro probably though down the road. ~Trent

i admire DYI POS looking that works wonders. This only means you know what you are doing and how things work. :D

keep us posted.

I probably won't add any aro's simply because of a) I would need to cover it all the time, b) I don't think they would be that happy because I think my peacock bass would end up beating on them and if not the bass the pike would probably decimate them :) She's a mean one. Maybe if they were asian aro's......

The closest thing to an aro that I might add though is a arapaima. If so it would be for a year or so maybe then I'd donate it to the Dallas World Aquarium because I've been wanting one for a long time.

Hopefully I'll have some more pics to post up tomorrow, I've been busy with finals and get finished today. Anyone know a good place to pick up some more of that mexican black rock cheap? Thanks ~Trent

finally got mine. Due to money constraints I got the same one you did. 10' should be good enough for a few years.

Update coming on Tuesday night after the pond heats up :) My TSN, Planiceps, and Irwini should be going in there at that time and maybe before then I can track down some more smooth black rock or nice driftwood...although I'm contemplating moving my huge pieces from the 240 into the pond then scaling down on the driftwood and replacing the 2 huge pieces with smaller pieces in the 240. Anyone know a good vendor for XXL show pieces of malaysian driftwood? Ted's used to have some but all I see now is small stuff ~Trent
