New fish room, pictures as I go.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
OSB? I would have used plywood. Other than that looks good.

As you can see on the middle cabinet I kinda ran out of panel board, so the inside walls in the middle cabinet are not even with the other two cabinets. I will remedy this by adding a two smaller pannels extending it out to make it even, then use wood putty and a sander to make it all smooth.

So far I am pretty happy with how its turning out, feels solid. All comments good or bad welcome, if you see something out of place I am all ears.

I was going to use plywood, but it was twice the cost, I didn't think OSB would hurt anything? Am I wrong? do I need to replace the top sheet of OSB with ply?

I didn't notice any bowing, the level said I am almost perfectly level, what picture and area are you noticing, I will check this out when I get home today. Sadly I wont be able to work on the stand to much today or tomorrow, for some reason my professor at school doesn't think building a fish room is an acceptable excuses for not finishing my labs.

Maybe someone should explain to them that a fish room is so much more valuable and more important, than a humanities class.

I got the sides and front on, I got all the screw holes sunk in and filled with putty, I filled all the cracks on the bottom inside of the cabinets. Tomorrow I will buy some grat stuff foam sealing and seal the big gaps on the inside and then putt wood putty over that. The way its looking I will be staining by Friday. I want to say thanks again to all of MFK its been almost 1 year and I am finally getting my monster fish room. So many of you have help a bunch throughout this year, so thanks you all; and thanks for tuning in.

I know some of the paneling is not 100% even but that will all be covered up by trim.
