Hello; PBS showed a NOVA special last night about the corona19 virus. I cannot endorse the entire program but did find the segments on how antibodies form and how a quick vaccine might be made worth watching. My guess is the show will be replayed late night in the next few days.
Two things stood out to me about the quick vaccine. First is there may be serious restrictions due to the short shelf life of the vaccine. If I understood correctly one of the new type RNA vaccines may need to be kept very cold. That it might not stay viable even in a refrigerated truck long enough to make a trip from NY to California. So they are working on how to increase the shelf life.
The other thing which stood out, if I heard correctly, is using this new way of trying to make a vaccine has not yet ever produced a working vaccine. I do not know enough about the procedure yet to make educated comments but gathered it is an experimental way to make a vaccine. Also if I heard correctly it is this new experimental method of making a vaccine on which the hope of a vaccine in 18 months is based. I do hope it works.

Our football season started in march. Lasted 1 week and then was suspended. It's going to start up again June 11 with no crowds, no atmosphere either. We should be nearly half way through the season by now so it will be interesting to see how they rearrange the fixture and when the finals will be held.
The only professional sport we have still continuing is horse racing for some bizarre reason.

We had an AFL player break the lockdown, go out and get blind drunk , try to drive home and cause a 5 car crash. His lawyer said it was because he was so traumatised from not being able to play football and having no structure to his days so he should be treated leniently.
If I was getting paid what he was and had a gym installed in my house for free to maintain fitness and still getting paid to do phone interviews etc. then I doubtI would be "traumatised "
I enjoy sport but it's just sport. Some of these athletes seem upset nurses and similar people actually trying to make a difference in all this mess are getting the acclaim and not some millionaire fool who gets paid to kick a ball.

It is nonsense, footy players get away with a lot here but I think this one is going to cop it due to the community outrage.
There's a lot more people who really have things to be upset about at the moment than a 25 year old millionaire that can't play football with his mates.
Does anyone even pay any interest to Aussie rules football in the U.S? We have lots of people who follow the NFL and NBA and the last few years the Super Bowl has become a big thing here too.

Pop and I were talking about this douche yesterday, traumatised my butt. There are people still in emergency accommodation from bushfires who lost everything, those people are (very likely) traumatised, not some rich kid who as you said, can't play footy with his mates.
Pops words were "if I'm not traumatised stuck on my pension in a 3 bedroom house that c*** isn't traumatised living like a king in a castle"

What's needed in cases like these is a good old fashioned old school hard ass judge who puts total common sense first. Not only would they laugh at the sad ass defendant but they should go to town on the stupid defence lawyers who come up with their bullshit defence in the first place.
