PLEASE IDENTIFY IF JAGUAR CICHLIDS IS MALE OR FEMALE?

Hello guys,

Guys I have a Jaguar cichlids which is about 5” - 6” in a 300 Gallon. Please can you help me identify it’s sex as it’s growing up and I want to know if it’s male as they get very aggressive towards other fishes.

I am saying with 99% certainty it is a female.

Also this should be in the central/south american cichlid

She will still be aggressive, probably not quite as much as a male, but some females are worse than others. It will stay smaller than a male, only get to around 12" and that will take a while.

Long slanted forehead tells me 99% female but you do get tricked every once in a while Jags period are crazy but females do tend to be less crazy

In many cases, the darker more predominant bands and blotches are female traits at maturity.
