turnin out awesome...got all the hard part out of the way and now u'r ready to rock.

dont ask how, but i just calculated that its only 20 gallons... so too bad, in the future i might have to get something cooler in there ...something also semi-aquatic...

also... not quite, the wet wood caused some ripples in the acrylic, so im goin to have to wet sand it all smooth and oplish it... like orangepeel on a car, its hard to see but its not perfect and thats not acceptable.

like 20000 mangroves???
for the price you guys pay for them,
that many would pay for a house.

how?

lol jokin
so whats the LxWxH in the end?
...something also semi-aquatic...
this isnt going to be able to hold water?

that sux, hope ya get it out.

you sound just like me

hahaha, i covered the inside with a liner and filled it with packing penuts, then i mesured the amount on penuts that filled the space, its what i had on hand...:D, if nothing else you cant say that im not creative...

and yes it will hold water, right up to the top, and i guess i yould keep fish in it, perhaps something cool like a fig8 puffer or some BGK's? but i would like to keep it semiaquatic, meaning that there will be a water and land section, and there will be plants growing out of it too. its still on my coffee table and i've been staring at it for the last 3 hours, thinking how in going to plumb it for power for the heater and powerhead for the waterfall? and how to make the waterfal, what level to put the sand, what kind...

and most importantly, how and i going to wet sant this thing without flooding my basement?

nice
i been thinking with ya
thought one idea, mold acrylic like your doing into an island for the center, water all around it.
waterfall will be hard.powerhead or pump, how small do they make them?
i have a 70gph but that will be niagara falls in that thing :D
also,i thought, make an acrylic lid with vents so it dont fog up,and add those lil colorful water frogs to it.
and most importantly, how and i going to wet sant this thing without flooding my basement?
shouldnt need that much water would ya?
dont have a shower to do it in?lol
:D

you could make the island and waterfall out of great stuff molded around some eggcrate raised above the water level on pvc pipes.

i was thinking of useing some thin flat rocks, and simply glueing them together to make a cliff.

when i picked up my FREE 73 gallon i among other things got three tiny powerheads, they are cute little things, and facing up they arnt that powerfull, im just going to have this on a spnge filter opwered by the powerhead. thats it. but i dont know what to do about a heater?, they have substrate heater, glass ones and heating pads that go under the tank. but acrylic is a good insulator so i dont know about the last one...
