I'm only having one, and I've already got him.

Yea, 96 gave me a flippin heart attack, I'm pounding up and down the stairs to get the ice!!

Next week, we're probably going to go spend $60 on my little guy. I'll have his parents take us, so that we can pretend we just bought him...lol!!

I'm going to get a special made plexiglass lid, and seperator for when I need to do tank work.

i dont even use a divider when i clean my 13" rhoms tank. although i have to say i am somewhat nervous during tank cleanings though. lol!

You're braver than me, demjor!! I'm too much of a fraidy cat to try doing it without it!! Of course, your fish has been proven to remove fingers and toes....lol

We keep changing our minds (well, I keep changing my mind!!)

We're still getting a 29 gal, but we're putting our goldfish in it, in the dining room. MY nieces and nephews come over, and think that they can stick fingers in my fishtanks, or feed my fish, I really wouldn't want one of them to get bitten.

We're going to bring the 10 down, and put it in the living room for some tetras, or silver dollars....Wait, do the SD's get as big as a regular piranha? if they do, then scratch that idea.... Or maybe I'll get some little saltwater fish....that'd be cool!!

ANYWAYS,
We're going with 3, and we're putting them in our 75. Demjor, I have 2 cats, do you think I'll need a lid for the RBPs tank, so my cats don't fall in and get hurt? Or will the Ps jump out? I don't want them to hurt themselves either!!

Would it hurt if I got the fish first then slowly bought the decorations? or do I have to have the decor now? I have 3 plastic plants and a rock cave (I built it) in my 75.

I have had a couple of my little RBPs jump out of my tank before while I was gone. I thought they had got ate, but I discovered them a few days later behind the couch, . My 8 little RBPs don't even use the caves in their tank. They don't even pick on each other either, but maybe I'm lucky... for now...

Well, there's been a couple of nights I've gone up to bed, and my one of my ctas were sitting on the bed, dripping wet!! Hmm...I wonder where they could've been? lol

If they jump out of the front of the 75, they'll be easily seen, as that tank sits on 2 small dressers.

If they jump out form behind it, we'll never find them without COMPLETELY draining the tank (we use a garden hose drug through our house, up the stairs to siphon water) and then moved, then move the dressers.....A lot of work overall!!

I can't wait to get my other 2!!

I had a brand new GT jump out behind the tank 5 minutes after I put him in... stupid fish, but luckily I was able to reach him w/ a net. It's fun to have a shoal of 'em and watch 'em all attack something.

SD's are not piranhas, but they do get to big for a 10 gallon tank.

susi i saw u wanted large neon's for u p tank? i would go with the small ones ( faster ) the bigger ones ( slower ) will only last an hour in there.



also if u r getting 3 rbp's 2 will tag teamone eventually. i'd go with 4. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

i think you are right. when shoaling P's the more you have the better your chances are of it working out.

Well, we talked about it, and Brian is willing to buy 3 more, if I want them, but with money being the way it is, I'm still not sure if that's what I want to do!! I'm sure he'd be happier with some buddies, but that eye I told you about, Demjor, still bothers me...:S

I was figuring bigger=harder to eat in a single bite!! but ohwell, he's going to munch on them anyways...so I guess it really doesn't matter!! LOL

either way, we're going to go pick up our new tank tomorrow. And if I only keep one, I'll be able to get him some nifty-cool decor for his tank!!

Someday I'll have more, I might even build a wall in my house for a big P tank!! ^_~ Until then, Whip is good enough!!
