Red Texas Female Short Body Gene?

Not intending on debating man and sorry if I ruffled your feathers. Just posting with relevance to Cichlids Keeper's question.

The only problem with chancing upon genetic anomaly like that is that it's like trying to find a off color needle in a pile of thousands of needles. The odds of finding the one you need would be astronamicly low, not to say it can't be done but you'd probably have a higher chance at finding a pearl in your seafood or finding a $100 bill out on a walk. Genetic engineering would be the easiest/sure fire way to accomplish this.

So does anyone here know how genetically modify fish or......
Ask your buddies at the fisheries department to try and take care of it for you I guess.... I want to learn about this too as it is a novel suggestion.
I have an idea with selective breeding and temperature fluctuations of the developing embryos.

Oh no I was just joking about that, it would take such a long time to learn how to do and it would cost so much, so it just wouldn't be worth even if I sold some of the best Red Texas which I wasn't planning on doing.
